Hi! I’m Pam Quattlebaum

A little history of Jazz and Charm

Jazz and Charm was created from deep within my heart. None of us will soon forget 2020 and the impact of COVID. For me, the business I had built over the past 25 years was shut down overnight. I had so many people depending on me, including grandchildren in college or soon on their way. I was also deeply involved with our local rescue, H.A.L.T (Helping Animals Life Tomorrow).

During a random conversation with my daughter in early 2020, I was lamenting about how I wish I could do more – for my employees, the family and our rescue. When she casually mentioned her love of wreaths and how she needed to find some new ones for her front door, something clicked!

Believing in the Ready-Fire-Aim approach, I took my first step and bought a couple of wire frames, some mesh and ribbon and went to work. I became obsessed with wreath making. Google and YouTube were my new best friends.

It was definitely a learning experience but, in the end, my critics told me I had created a very sellable wreath. I immediately donated it to the rescue’s second-hand store. “Truckloads” of Easter wreaths quickly followed and were donated to the front-line nurses at a local hospital. I had found my passion and was on a mission.

Finally, my family (OK, mostly my daughter) convinced me to open my own Etsy Shop. With my usual fervor, I began learning everything Etsy and how to create my online presence. I visited Etsy’s best-selling shops. I enrolled in every on-line design class I could find. Even today, it still amazes me how many of those shop owners and educators were, and continue to be, willing to share their knowledge, expertise and experiences. It wasn’t a competition, but a community and even being the new kid on the block, I felt I belonged.

With the combination of finding the highest quality of supplies available and my love for all things pretty,  Jazz and Charm, Creative Collections was open for business.

Gratitude and Blessings

My inspiration for creating Jazz and Charm had many facets — my family and my wreath making community – who were always there to help and support me. And my customers, without whom, I would still be wondering “what if?” I am grateful for you all.

Thank you to my daughter, Suzanne, who, with her eye for design, has been involved in virtually every creation. To my grandchildren, Sydney and Riley, who continue to help me with my social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok. I hope I have shown you that any dream can become a reality. My cousin Donna, my forever partner in crime, for her shopping prowess and ability to find the best deals. To Damon Oates, Christine Jerry and all the coaches for their knowledge, patience and understanding. To Kelea, Fancy, Mellie Mel and Julie for helping me take my designs to the next level. And finally, to my customers who make it all worthwhile! I am, and always will be, eternally grateful and blessed to have you share my journey.
